tearing down an icon

Very saddened to hear that MOMA is tearing down the original site of the American Folk Art Museum for their expansion.  This is by far the worst move.  An amazing building, one that should be preserved.  Don't do it!  Preserve it, re-purpose it, build around it, but why tear it down?  Take your last glances while you still can at this unique and elegant facade by Tod Williams and Billie Tsien.
