architect...with a capital A

"Be it known that..." I can finally call myself an Architect!  It all became official earlier this week that I am now licensed in New York and yesterday I received this certificate in the mail to commemorate it.  Feels great to have all that hard work finally pay off.

One last test and I hope to be licensed in California also.  Time to hit the books again, but celebrations are in order!  Thanks to all those that supported me through the whole process thus far.  Sending positive study vibes to all those taking the AREs...you're almost there!

ARE_pass!!!!!!!

This has to be the best news for the July 4th weekend.  Finally passed all 7 ARE exams for an Architecture License!  A grueling & frustrating process, but it's now complete.   Couldn't be happier to see "PASS" big and bold on my last structures exam.  I give myself this Gudetama trophy in celebration:

blossom_ai weiwei

Ai Weiwei's latest exhibition and installation, "BLOSSOM" in the hospital wards of Alcatraz Island.  Fixtures filled with ceramic flower blossoms overflowing at the brim.  Look forward to checking it out.  On exhibit through April 2015.

riverbank state park

Recently discovered this State Park while bike riding up riverside.  Great reuse of what was a water treatment plant and turning it into a park.

much ado about nothing_in the park

This year's Shakespeare in the Park started off great with a performance of Much Ado About Nothing.  Really funny and well cast.  It's the last week so go see it if you have a chance.  Free tickets if you wait in line at Central Park. Watch the sunrise warm up and city and have a relaxing picnic day at the park while you wait in line with friends.  It's worth it.  Or enter the virtual lottery online if waiting isn't your thing.

Can't wait for the 2nd play of the summer, King Lear, starring John Lithgow.   Starting soon!
