morning vs night - hong kong

This morning vs. last night's arrival to Hong Kong.  Always love the signature bamboo scaffolding on high rise construction. View from hotel room.  Harbor and bridge peaking through in the distance. Bring on the humidity!

through the swamp

Panoramic views of my walk through the swamps of Barataria Preserve outside of New Orleans in the Jean Lafitte National Park.  Had my first 'gator encounter as well.  Up close and personal.  Highly recommend going if you are in the New Orleans area.  It's the best way to walk through the swamp without breaking the galoshes out, not to mention it's just plain amazing to explore!  Look out for those swamp bunnies...

stars, stripes, & times sq

Subway shut down the other day had me taking a 40+ block walk home from Times Square.  It did however had me observing the things you just don't pay attention to at a tourist saturated point of interest.  Up close and personal with the U.S. Armed Forces Center at Times Square.  Color pop!

Grand Central buzzing even at night. My favorite people watching location. Been awhile since I just stood there and took it in. A really good end to a long day on Monday.

autumn in bloom

Beautiful day in the city yesterday.  The edge of Central Park was looking amazing in shades of orange. A great way to start the holiday.

Have a Happy Turkey Day today feasting with friends and family!

20120725-000245.jpg The McKittrick Hotel on 27th street not only houses the amazing Sleep No More performances, it has just now opened a rooftop garden bar. It's so cute and fun. Cocktails, alcoholic punch bowls for groups, wine, beer, great view of the water and the city complete with Empire State Building nearby. Blonde in Peril drink shown above. Reservations currently needed. $20 dollars a person, but the amount go towards the overall bill at the end. Check it out if you can.
